Isabelle is an embittered banana plantation owner who is forced to turn the estate over to her half-sister Sylvia when their father dies. In an effort to drive Sylvia back to New York and win the love of John, Isabelle concocts a voodoo ceremony to send her sister packing. John exposes her phony powers at the ceremony.
