17 animated Technicolor shorts of DC Comic's Superman were produced by Fleischer Studios and released in cinemas by Paramount Pictures in 1941-43. "Superman" was ranked number 33 in a list of the 50 greatest cartoons of all time and was nominated for the 1942 Academy Award for Best Animated Short.
