Edgar Allen Poe (Klaus Kinski) tries to convince reporter Alan Foster that the terrifying tales he spins are based on fact, not fiction, and dares Foster to spend the night in the haunted castle of Lord Blackwood. The castle is inhabited by lovely ladies, but an occult expert tells Foster they are actually the spirits of those murdered in the house.
