Bob and Frankie are brothers. When Frankie comes to visit after a two-year absence, he discovers that Bob is married to the alluring Mary. She's unhappy with Bob, and starts an affair with Frankie, who in turn has ulterior motifs. Wishman’s story of betrayal has one of her cherished downbeat conclusions.
