Cindy is a depressed prostitute. She does it to put her boyfriend through med school. He doesn't know how she gets the money, but discovers her at her pimp's pad and the pimp beats him nearly to death. Ashamed and feeling helpless, Cindy kills herself. At her funeral her friends and family talk about her life.
